Elton John has recently announced the cancellation of two of his gigs, coincidently on the weekend of the Royal wedding. Taking to Twitter the singer said, 'Due to scheduling conflict, the May 18th / 19th Million Dollar Piano @CaesarsPalace shows have been rescheduled'.

The tweet included a link to his website where a statement reads, 'Due to a scheduling conflict, Elton John has rescheduled the Friday, May 18 and Saturday, May 19 performances of "The Million Dollar Piano" at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace to Sunday, May 6 and Wednesday, May 16. Tickets for the two rescheduled performances will go on sale Friday, Feb. 9. at noon PT.'

It goes on to say that all tickets already sold for the 18th and 19th May will be refunded.

This news comes just a couple of weeks after the news that Sir Elton will be embarking on his 'Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour', where he will be playing a massive 300 dates over three years. The 'Rocket Man' singer has had a massive career spanning over five decades, and sold many millions of records around the world.

Last year the 70-year-old singer was forced to cancel nine of his shows after he contracted a bacterial infection, however after spending two nights in intensive care, and 12 days in hospital, he has since recovered and performed a huge 87 shows in 2017.

Although Elton's attendance at the Royal wedding hasn't yet been confirmed he was previously reported as saying that it would be nice to attend the special day, although he was due to play in Vegas, so he didn't know what was going to happen. Looks like things might have changed!

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's engagement was announced last November on Twitter, with a statement released by Clarence House which said, 'The Prince of Wales is delighted to announce the engagement of Prince Harry to Ms. Meghan Markle.'

A few weeks later they went on to reveal the exact date of their wedding would be the 19th May, to be held at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.

Now have a look at their official engagement pictures in the gallery below:

Elton John isn't the only person who had a clash on the 19th May. After the Royal wedding date was announced it was quickly revealed to be the same day as the FA Cup Final. It wasn't long before Twitter went wild with speculation as to what Prince William, who is the President of the FA, would do.
