Yes, you read that right! A Diana musical is heading for Broadway.
No doubt inspired by the success of shows like The Crown, producers across the pond have turned the life of our beloved Princess Diana into a musical complete with an award-winning cast.

Diana: A True Musical Story is about the life of Princess Diana and is set to show how Diana struggled when she was at first thrown into the limelight after her engagement announcement to Prince Charles. The musical will then go on to reveal how the late icon grew stronger and become one of the most loved women in history.
According to the official show statements, Princess Diana the musical will be about how "Princess Diana stood up for her family, her country and herself." Casting announcements include Jeanna De Waal as Diana, Roe Hartrampf as Prince Charles, Tony Award winner Judy Kaye as the Queen and Erin Davie as Camilla Parker-Bowles with no news on whether the young Princes will feature in the story.
Not endorsed by Prince William, Prince Harry of any members of the Royal family, Princess Diana the musical may well spark controversy when it's released in late March 2020 in the States.
