This year 25 recordings have been added to the GRAMMY Hall of Fame, including Whitney Houston's iconic 'I Will Always Love You'.

The track conjures memories of the early nineties, with it sitting at the top of the charts for an incredible 14 weeks in 1992 as the soundtrack to The Bodyguard – making it not only one of the best–selling singles of all time, but also the best-selling single by a woman in music history!

When the song re–entered the charts in 2012 after Whitney's death it became the second single ever to reach the top three on the Billboard Hot 100 on separate occasions.

However, the power ballad wasn't just the work of Whitney; it was actually written and recorded by Dolly Parton in 1973!

It's entry into the GRAMMY Hall of Fame marks Whitney's version out as a timeless classic; songs added to the list must be at least 25 years old and be regarded as holding historical significance.

And the track sits in good company! Other 2018 GRAMMY Hall of Fame entries include David Bowie's 'Space Oddity', Gladys Knight & The Pips' 'I Heard It Through The Grapevine,' Queen's 'A Night At The Opera', and Billy Paul's 'Me and Mrs. Jones'.
