A nightmare turned into reality for some petrified passengers on board a plane flying to Mexico City
Mid-flight to Mexico City, a live snake dropped out of an overhead baggage area, dangling in front of passengers' faces.
The footage taken on board an AeroMexico flight shows a five-foot green viper hanging above the unlucky passengers on board.
If you are getting on a plane in the very near future, you might wish to skip the following video!
The tweet translates to say: 'The flying snake... ha ha ha. A unique experience on the Torreon-Mexico flight, Aeromexico flight number 231. Yep... priority landing.'
After the footage emerged, a spokesperson for AeroMexico released a statement saying, “AeroMexico reports that today, on flight 231 from Torreón to Mexico City, a snake was detected inside the passenger cabin.
"Due to the presence of the animal and following security protocols, the flight was given priority to land at the AICM. Once it had landed, AICM personnel secured the reptile.
"The procedures carried out for this flight are currently being evaluated to determine how the animal entered the cabin, and measures have been taken to avoid such incidents in the future.
"For Aeroméxico, the security of its passengers and crew is of the highest priority, and it always works to meet the highest quality standards."
