Dan Stevens does his 'Beast' voice from Beauty and the Beast but he sounds more like a daytime TV presenter

What do you reckon, Richard Madeley? 😂

The very dapper Dan Stevens, star of Downton Abbey and now Disney's live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast, came to Magic in the Morning to tell Nick what life as the 'Beast' is really like.

He revealed that as the Beast, he had to be filmed in a costume weighing forty pounds, whilst standing on 10-inch stilts. Wow.

The actor also revealed that before starring in the Disney remake, he had never had any professional vocal training. He had to learn all his singing technique on the job!

When it came to producing the voice of the Beast, Dan told Nick that it came from playing around with a pair of specially crafted dentist's fangs, which he pushed to the bottom of his mouth to produce the sound of the 'posh' Prince-turned-Beast. Nick wasn't convinced though; he reckons Dan sounded more like Richard Madeley from Richard and Judy!
