Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again sequel has been confirmed by Hollywood bosses

They've decided to take a chance on a sequel!

Over 10 years after the original film's release, Hollywood bosses have decided to take a chance and make a movie sequel of Mamma Mia!.

'Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again' will be released next summer, and Meryl Streep, Colin Firth, Pierce Brosnan and Amanda Seyfried are all set to take up their roles from the first film. Casting agents are said to be speaking to some of our favourite supporting actors, such as Christine Baranski.

Mamma Mia!, which came out in 2008, was one of the biggest box office hits of all time, pulling in £550 million worldwide. So it's no wonder they've decided to give it another go!

The sequel will feature all the great ABBA hits that didn't make it into the first film, including One Of Us and Knowing Me Knowing You, both of which featured in the stage version, 'Mamma Mia! The Musical'.

We're hoping it'll feature the classic 'Super Trouper', too.

Mamma Mia! originally began on the West End, as a musical story of a bride-to-be, Sophie, searching for her father in time for her wedding day on an exotic Greek island.

As of last year, the musical is the eighth longest-running show in the history of London theatre!

The script for Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again will be written by Ol Parker, the London-born writer married to Thandie Newton and well known for creating The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.

The sequel has been given a release date of 20th July, 2018. We can't wait to see it!
