When Craig David joined Louise for a Magic Chilled one hour Up Close… special there was one question we just had to know the answer to: what did really happen on those 7 Days?
We're talking of course, about the track that helped propel David from underground MC to worldwide R&B sensation stardom in 2000. The catchy 7 Days – David's second single and biggest hit to date – has become a Noughties classic, with lyrics charting the singer's dating diary.

But it seems that the story the lyrics tell (if you're familiar with the track you'll know that David wrote about seducing the girl of his dreams in just a week) aren't quite all they seem.
David admits that far from the glamorous life charted across the song–writer's first album (which went on to collect three Ivor Novello Awards and six BRIT Award nominations), he was still living with his Mum and hadn't yet passed his driving test… so don't believe any lyrics that depicted him cruising in a Range Rover!
