U2 joined by Lady Gaga for surprise performance of her hit 'Shallow'

'Atomic City' rockers U2 have been wowing their fans at their Las Vegas residency, in the new venue called Sphere. Now, fans have been treated to an amazing performance after the band were joined on stage by Lady Gaga.

On Wednesday (25th October), fans attending the 'U2: UV Achtung Baby Live at Sphere' residency had the chance to watch the band and Lady Gaga perform her song 'Shallow', which was previously released along with Bradley Cooper, for the film A Star Is Born.

Several photos and videos from the night have been shared on social media, and during the show, Bono can be seen introducing Lady Gaga, saying: "The most audacious, vivacious woman, in any room she's ever in, will you welcome to our turntable, the divine... the divinal Lady Gaga."

The singer then appears on stage, alongside U2, sporting a black leather jacket and sunglasses, matching lead singer Bono's look for the night. Clips of their performance have since been shared across social media, with many fans speculating that Lady Gaga's next album could be a rock album.

This speculation follows another surprise performance by Lady Gaga, who joined The Rolling Stones for a gig to launch their new album 'Hackney Diamonds'. On that occasion the singer took to the small stage at Racket NYC, where she sang 'Sweet Sounds of Heaven', from their album, which she features on.

Lady Gaga is primarily known for her pop songs like 'Poker Face' and 'Hold My Hand', along with several songs with Tony Bennett, however, she is also a big rock music fan. She even took part of her stage moniker from the classic Queen song ‘Radio Ga Ga.’
