Watch Ed Sheeran perform incredible version of 'Shape of You' with school instruments

Brilliant 😂

While appearing on the American talk show The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Ed Sheeran was joined by Jimmy and the hip-hop group The Roots for a rendition of 'Shape of You' with school instruments.

The surprisingly tuneful performance saw Ed shake a banana-shaped maraca while Jimmy swapped between the bass drum, keyboard, guiro and blocks.

Members of The Roots then joined in with various instruments including xylophones, bongos and a tambourine.

  • Ed Sheeran - Vocals, Banana Shaker
  • Jimmy Fallon - Vocals, Bass Drum, Casio Keyboard, Guiro, Blocks
  • Questlove - Guiro, Kazoo
  • Kamal Gray - Lead Xylophone
  • James Poyser - Melodica
  • Captain Kirk - Ukulele
  • Tuba Gooding Jr. - Kazoo, Apple Shaker
  • Mark Kelley - Rhythm Xylophone
  • Frank Knuckles - Bongos
  • Black Thought - Tambourine, Brown Hat

It sounds so good! Now we're thinking we'd like to hear more songs done like this...

'Shape of You' debuted at number one in the UK chart when it was released at the beginning of January and is still in the top ten nearly eight weeks later.
