Davina McCall's dating show My Mum, Your Dad captured the hearts of the nation when it aired for a two-week stint in 2023, with bosses quickly recommissioning the show for a second series, much to the delight of fans!

Whilst Natalie and Paul and Sharon and Elliott devastated fans by revealing they'd split, Janey and Roger have stayed together, having even teased the possibility of future marriage plans!

Are Janey and Roger getting married?

March 2024

In March 2024, Roger opened up about the possibility of one day marrying Janey in an interview with Tyla. He said: "It's something I'm aware of because even strangers come up to me if asking I'm getting married!

"I say, 'Well, it has only been nine months!' But it's certainly not out of the question! The way things are progressing... I think it would be lovely and romantic and, yeah, who knows!

Discussing his feelings for Janey, Roger sweetly added: "I think she's brilliant and she's a lovely person. She's fun, caring, talented - the list goes on! I think I've just lucked out, to be honest, with her. I wouldn't want to let her slip away.

"We're enjoying spending as much time together as we can. You know when you get a special person in your life and I think she is that person. That's all I can say on the matter at the moment!"

February 2024

Speaking to our friends over at Closer Magazine in February 2024, Janey and Roger hinted at future marriage plans, admitting it would be the 'icing on a the cake' for them.

Teasing future marriage plans, Roger said: “We might well do. In the future, anything could happen, but I do think it would be the icing cake for the pair of us.”

Janey added to the publication: “When I was a lot younger, I saw people get married and always thought I would one day too. I just happen to be 48 and it’s never happened. My parents have been married for 50 years, so I’d love to walk down the aisle and experience it for myself.”

Also in February 2024, Janey and Roger appeared on Good Morning Britain, where she revealed that she would consider popping the question to Roger! She said: "I would be totally happy proposing.

"I'm a very independent person. I've never been married, and I would see it as an opportunity to take control of exactly what I would like when I'm ready. Not waiting desperately, please ask me. If I want to ask him, I will."

October 2023

Speaking to Closer in October 2023, Roger also said: "I’m looking forward to growing old and her pushing me around in a wheelchair. I’ve not ruled out getting married again – never say never. I enjoy being with one person and the warmth they bring.”

On the same page back then, Janey also added: “I haven’t lived with a man for 19 years and I’m fed up with watching Netflix on my own, but we’re not going to put pressure on ourselves. I’ve never been married, and I’ve always said I want to. It is important to me.”

Laughing, Roger then added: “For some reason she really stared at me when she said that…”

Do Janey and Roger live together?

Despite spending a lot of time together, Janey and Roger don't currently live together, with Roger in Derby and Janey in Sussex.

Speaking to Closer, Janey said: “It does feel very natural. I’ve never been with someone as much as I have with Roger, we’re together all the time. We had some time apart before Christmas while we were with our families, and I didn’t like it at all. It actually scared me a little, I texted Roger and said, ‘We’re not doing this again!’”

Roger added: “It was only five days! We’ve talked about living together, but with my family in Derby and Janey’s in Sussex, it’s hard at the moment, but we know it will just be a natural progression when we say, ‘Right – let’s finally do it’.”

Check out the My Mum, Your Dad couples below:

Natalie and Paul

44-year-old Natalie was nominated by her son Kaliel for the show, and she was quick to make an impression with 47-year-old Paul, who was nominated by his daughter Mazey. The pair had an instant connection in the retreat and were the first couple to share a snog during the school disco party. Since that moment, they enjoyed getting to know each other more, and displayed a lot of affection around the other cast mates, looking very comfortable in each other's company. On their final date, Natalie even opened up to Paul about her past addictions and troubles.

The positive vibes continued when the pair met each other's kids during the final episode, with both Natalie and Paul being full of praise for each other, both admitting they want things to work outside of the retreat after getting the blessing of Kaliel and Mazey.

Are Natalie and Paul still together?
Unfortunaly not. Despite viewers having high hopes for the pair, one day after the final episode aired they took to social media to release a joint statement which read: Firstly just wanted to say thank you for the overwhelming support from everyone who has watched the show and how invested you have been with our journey. It was an incredible experience and one that we will be forever grateful for taking part in.

'Nat and I had an incredible experience in the retreat and loved every moment, we continued that connection over the summer and had some great times together. Unfortunately in early August we decided to call a day on the relationship. We are both still friends and wish each other the best. Thank you for your continued support and we're very thankful to @davinamccall @itv @mymumyourdaduk for all we gained from the experience❤️'. (sic)

Janey and Roger

58-year-old Roger was nominated by his daughter Jess for the show, following the sad passing of his wife last year. Despite initially enjoying a date with Scottish contestant Caroline, it was the arrival of 47-year-old Janey, who was nominated by her son Will, that really helped Roger open up. After cooling things with Caroline so he could explore things further with Janey, the pair enjoyed spending time together in the retreat, and even shared their first kiss during their final date.

Despite Janey's son Will and Roger's daughter Jess having a few reserves, when they met during the final episode it appeared these were put to bed, with both kids giving their parents their blessings.

Sharon and Elliott

Sunderland lass Sharon was nominated by her daughter Tia for the show, after suffering heartbreak in her past relationships. The 53-year-old quickly caught the eye of 53-year-old PE Teacher Elliott, with the couple enjoying get to know each other in the retreat. Despite their obvious connection, Sharon struggled to be open with Elliot due to her past trauma in relationships, but Elliott was quick to reassure her that he was willing to go at a slow pace in order to pursue the romance.

Whilst meeting each other's children during the final episode, both Sharon and Elliott seemed positive about the future, despite the long-distance between the two in Sunderland and Essex. Sharon's daughter Tia and Elliott's son Zachary both championed the relationship, both giving their blessings.

Are Sharon and Elliott still together?
After the show aired, both Sharon and Elliott shared cosy snaps together on social media, revealing they have plans to move into together. HOWEVER, in November 2023, reports emerged that the pair had split, with Sharon unfollowing Elliott on Instagram.

Despite the reports, the pair are yet to publicly announce the news.

Monique and Martin M

After being nominated for the show by her daughter Taiya, things got off to a slow start for 50-year-old Monique, with the therapist admitting she wasn't attracted to any of the men. However, when new arrivals Martin M and Martin H arrived into the retreat, Monique came into her own! Following a number of dates with the Martins, Monique found herself in a love square alongside fellow contestant Tollulah, but during the final few episodes, Martin M admitted his feelings were strongest for Monique. The pair then enjoyed a final date together, where Monique hinted she'd be happy to move to Ibiza, where Martin lives!

However, following the visit from her daughter Taiya during the final episode, Monique had doubts about Martin's true feelings, later quizzing him about his actions towards her during their time in the retreat.

As fans will know, Monique ended things with Martin during the final episode, admitting she felt they just weren't right for each other. Following the conversation, Martin admitted the experience has taught him to take people's feelings into consideration more. The pair left the retreat as friends.

As fans of the show will know, 59-year-old Roger was nominated for the show by his daughter Jess, after he sadly lost his wife to cancer just 18 months before the programme. Roger was praised by viewers for the way he dealt with his grief on the show, and how he remembered his late wife, with many getting emotional at his words.

Despite originally enjoying a date with Caroline, Roger was blown away by the late arrival of 48-year-old Janey, who was nominated for the show by her son Will.

After hitting it off and getting the blessing of their children at the end of the series, Janey and Roger continued to get to know each other after filming, with the pair revealing to Closer they told each other they loved one another not long after.

Janey said: “Roger said it first. He came to mine, stood there looking quite serious and said, ‘Janey, there’s an elephant in the room.’ I said, ‘Is there?’ and suddenly got worried. He went, ‘Yeah, I love ya!’ He is so kind, funny and wholesome.”

After the show aired in September, the pair couldn't wait to reveal they'd remained together, posting cute photos together on social media. Since that moment, the happy couple have delighted fans with adorable uploads, with Roger gushing about Janey as she celebrated her birthday last week.

In early December, Roger shared a Reel to Instagram showing off his holiday with Janey to Gran Canaria in November.

The post read: 'A few weeks ago we were lucky enough to stay at the @salobrehotel in Gran Canaria with @jet2indulgent 😍🏝️

'We had the most amazing time! The food, spa and golf course were stunning and the staff were so accommodating and welcoming💛 We could not recommend it enough for a lovely bit of winter sun!
