ABBA's Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus to appear on The X Factor

They will be BRILLIANT!

This year's series of The X Factor have been full of celebrities, both on and off the stage. Of course we have the new judging line-up for this year, Robbie Williams, Ayda Williams, One Direction's Louis Tomlinson and Simon Cowell, we've also seen celebrity appearances from David Walliams as Robbie's guest judge and Nile Rogers standing in for Robbie when he was performing elsewhere. And now, it's been revealed that two members of ABBA will be appearing on The X Factor very soon!

In details released by ITV, Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus will be appearing on the show to celebrate the success of this year's film, MAMMA MIA! Here We Go Again. Benny will host a masterclass with the show’s six semi-finalists this week! Meanwhile, Björn will be at the studio to watch The X Factor hopefuls perform ABBA tracks from the MAMMA MIA! movies. We CANNOT WAIT!

Each of the remaining contestants will have to perform some of ABBA's greatest hits for a chance to be in the all important final.

Speaking about his involvement with the show Benny said, "I am very happy to be hosting a masterclass and hear the last six contestants perform our songs. I am thrilled The X Factor is celebrating the MAMMA MIA! film soundtracks."

Back in the summer, we caught up with some of the cast on the red carpet of MAMMA MIA! Here We Go Again, where Lily James, who plays a younger version of Meryl Streep's character Donna Sheridan, revealed that she was super nervous to sing in front of ABBA's Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson.

She also opened up about the childhood memories she has of listening to ABBA songs, saying, "I used to dance as a kid, my dad used to play 'Waterloo' to me on a CD he'd made for dinner parties, a compilation."
