The best musicals coming to the West End in 2017
There are plenty of new arrivals this year.
After its debut on Broadway back in August 2015, Hamilton: An American Musical has shot to success, bringing in a huge 11 Tony Awards, as well as the prestigious The Pulitzer Prize.
After much demand, Hamilton is now coming to the West End stage from 21 November 2017 – 30 June 2018. And tickets have already completely sold out for the first six months!
The Girls is a brand new musical comedy, co-written by long-time friends Gary Barlow and Tim Firth. After two very successful runs at Leeds Grand Theatre and The Lowry in Salford, the show made its West End debut at the Phoenix Theatre in London on 28th January.

The original high-school musical will be hitting the West End stage from March this year, with an all-star cast of The Wanted's Tom Parker (Danny), Over The Rainbow's Danielle Hope (Sandy) and Strictly Come Dancing's Louisa Lytton (Rizzo).
And if you don't live in the capital, the cast are touring the UK with their show, so you can see it in Manchester, Oxford, Liverpool and more!
Another musical fresh off the Broadway stage, An American in Paris lays claim to 4 Tony Awards, and is gracing the stage the Dominion Theatre, London, from Saturday 4 March.
Based on the Oscar-winning film An American in Paris, and featuring George and Ira Gershwin's classic songs I Got Rhythm and They Can't Take That Away From Me, this new musical looks as magical as they get.
Footloose has always been a well-loved show in the musical world, with its classic 80s tunes Holding Out For A Hero, Let’s Hear It For The Boy and the title track, Footloose.
And now, the rock n’ roll musical is coming to the UK in April and May, starring Gareth Gates!
Based on the hit movie, this Lloyd Webber musical is sure to be a hit this year. A few months ago we caught up with the music man himself Andrew Lloyd Webber, as well as book writer Julian Fellowes and some of the younger members of the cast.

School of Rock The Musical is live now at the New London Theatre.
The iconic Rodgers & Hammerstein musical will be performed this year by opera star Katherine Jenkins and tenor superstar Alfie Boe.
Featuring the classics 'You'll Never Walk Alone', 'If I Loved You' and 'June Is Bustin' Out All Over', the 40s musical will open on 7th April at ENO's London Coliseum.
