Proving the adage that you really do find beauty in the strangest of places, Google Maps is the new go to for finding images of Britain's most picturesque locations.

Not just a map, Google Street View is serving a new purpose to uplift and inspire, with users of the website Reddit searching the map for Britain's most stunning views and sharing their finds.

At Magic HQ there's been much talk of wanting to escape to this sunshine this chilly January, but as these images show (just a handful of Reddit user's findings), beauty really is right on our doorstep – no holiday required!
