Katie Price's son Harvey targeted in terrifying blackmail plot

Katie Price was forced to call the police after her eldest son Harvey was threatened in a blackmail plot.

The mum-of-five cancelled her Manchester show on Saturday due to an 'urgent family matter' and now details of the emergency have been revealed.

Katie's management company apparently received an anonymous email claiming that Harvey's face would be 'smashed in' unless Katie paid the sender £50,000.

As well as the horrifying threat of violence the email also warned that more details of an affair between Katie's husband Kieran Hayler and an unnamed woman would be released and it provided an address in East London where the money was to be delivered.

The police are said to be investigating and treating it very seriously.

Katie said, “I’m terrified. This is clearly a blackmail threat, and I need to be at home with my family."

While a friend of the star added, "This is all the more horrifying for Katie because she has experienced threats against her children before."

“On three separate occasions she has had to get the police involved.

“The thought of anyone harming the kids sickens her to the core, and until the police have caught the perpetrator, she feels she just can’t leave them.

“Katie is really shaken by this and is hoping against hope that the police catch this person as soon as possible.

“She knows they will be living in fear until they do.”

This isn't the first time 15-year-old Harvey has been targeted by online trolls. Katie has attempted to take action in the past.

The Loose Women star launched an online anti-bullying petition after Harvey fell victim to some horrendous online abuse earlier this year.

Katie set up a government petition titled 'Make online abuse a specific criminal offense and create a register of offenders' to try and stop online trolls bullying people including her son.

Harvey suffers from Prader-Willi syndrome as well as autism and septo-optic dysplasia. He is also partially blind.

Katie took Harvey onto an episode of on Loose Women last year to make people aware of the trolling he was receiving.
