Usher had been due to join the star-studded line-up of One Love Manchester on Sunday night but fans noticed, despite being billed, he didn't perform.

The 'Yeah!' singer has now taken to Instagram to reveal the real reason why he wasn't there and it's actually quite sweet!

He wrote, 'So happy to see that last night's concert in Manchester proved that love always prevails. I would have loved to be there but it was my son's first day at Camp Kudzu, one of the few summer camps for kids living with diabetes. This was an important day for him and for myself as a proud father. Stay strong UK.'

On the night of the concert Usher had taken to Instagram to send his thoughts to all those affected. He posted a video saying "My heart is with you Manchester, I'm so sorry for all of your loss and all of the pain that you've gone through. My family and I send our heartfelt condolences to each and every one of you in this difficult time. We need to love each other, we need to be good to each other, stay strong and united because only through that love can we help each other heal."

The One Love Manchester concert was set up by Ariana Grande and her team and was dedicated to those who tragically lost their lives at the Manchester Arena last month.

It was an incredible night of music that saw Little Mix, Miley Cyrus, Pharrell Williams, Niall Horan, Katy Perry, Marcus Mumford, Imogen Heap, Liam Gallagher, Take That, Robbie Williams, Justin Bieber, Black Eyed Peas and Coldplay join Ariana Grande to raise funds for the victims and families of victims affected by the atrocity on May 22nd.

During the concert the stars paid touching tributes to the victims.

Katy Perry wore an incredible outfit made out of pictures of those who had tragically lost their lives.

The 'Part of Me' singer also made a touching speech to the 50,000 plus crowd. She said,“I’m so honored and humbled to be here tonight to share and spread love. Love conquers fear, and love conquers hate, and this love that we choose will give you strength, and it’s our greatest power.”

Ariana Grande's manager, Scooter Braun, also paid tribute to those affected.

Miley Cyrus also paid tribute saying how 'honoured' she felt to be part of 'such an amazing event'.
