Coronation Street's Catherine Tyldesley reveals details about Eva Price's exit

Coronation Street actress Catherine Tyldesley has revealed details about her exit from the soap later in the year. Catherine, who plays the role of Eva Price in the ITV soap, appeared on today's episode of Loose Women where she discussed more about her character's current storylines.

Despite the news of her exit being revealed back in December, fans of the show will be pleased to know that Catherine doesn't think she will be killed off, meaning there is always a possibility that she could one day return to the cobbles.

Speaking to the panel, Catherine said, "I couldn't possibly say. I hope not. Phelan's still knocking around... As far as I'm aware, the door is being left open. I'd love to see her when she's 80-odd, boobs up to her eyeballs."

The actress later revealed she still loves Corrie, but admitted she felt the time was right to do something else. She said, "It's a huge change. I'll have been there nearly eight years by the time I leave. I adore that place. It's not a question of me not being happy."

Meanwhile, Catherine's character is currently involved in a major storyline involving her being pregnant with Aidan Connor's baby.

After Toyah Battersby convinced Eva not to have an abortion back in January, the pair are now involved in a secret baby deal, which involves Eva being a surrogate for Toyah. Eva is planning to hand her baby over to Toyah, but viewers have been told not everything will go quite to plan.

After a number of difficult storylines on the soap lately, including the recent David Platt rape story, Catherine also told the Loose Women panel the soap has had a counsellor on set for the actors.

She said: "We have some storylines at the moment that are very difficult but we're very well looked after and there is a counsellor on set for anybody that needs it. Cast and crew can go to speak them if they feel that they need that."

Catherine first joined the cast of Coronation Street back in June 2011. Since then, the 34-year-old has been involved in a number of major storylines, including her romance with Aidan Connor.

As well as appearing on Corrie, Catherine is a keen singer and released her debut album 'Rise' in 2016.

Catherine's final scenes on Coronation Street will air in the Summer.
