Coronation Street actress Catherine Tyldesley announced last year that she would be leaving the popular soap in 2018, and now she's revealed just how emotional she's going to find it.

Speaking to OK! Magazine about her upcoming exit, Catherine revealed she's already been crying about leaving and added she will be an 'absolute wreck' when the moment comes.

She said, "I feel emotional. Corrie was always my dream job and something I hoped I would do one day. I’ve loved every second of being there. I’ll be an absolute wreck! I just feel tearful now as I know I’m going to miss it so much."

Catherine, who plays the role of Eva Price in Corrie, revealed a number of details about her upcoming exit when she appeared on Loose Women earlier this year.

Despite the news of her exit being revealed back in December, fans of the show will be pleased to know that Catherine doesn't think she will be killed off, meaning there is always a possibility that she could one day return.

Catherine said, "I couldn't possibly say. I hope not. Phelan's still knocking around... As far as I'm aware, the door is being left open. I'd love to see her when she's 80-odd, boobs up to her eyeballs."

Meanwhile, talking about her private life during her recent interview with OK! Magazine, Catherine admitted she'd love to have more children with her husband Tom Pitford.

The couple, who tied the knot in 2016, already share three-year-old Alfie James and it sounds like they are prepping for more in the future.

She said, "I think four is very ambitious, but I would love another one at some point."

Catherine's final scenes on Coronation Street are set to air this summer.

Catherine first joined the cast of Coronation Street back in June 2011. Since then, the 34-year-old has been involved in a number of major storylines, including her romance with Aidan Connor and her current baby storyline with Toyah Battersby.

As well as appearing on Corrie, Catherine is a keen singer and released her debut album 'Rise' in 2016.
