Supermarket chain Morrisons have just announced a massive sausage roll is now on sale across the UK!
The foot long sausage roll, which weighs nearly half a kilogram, is double the length and four times the weight of your average sausage roll. This exciting new addition to the Morrisons' menu is believed to be the biggest available in the UK.
Priced at just £1 this huge sausage roll is now available nationwide within Morrisons stores. Baked in-store by its Market Street bakers and made with seasoned pork meat and wrapped in a crisp, golden flaky pastry, if you're in the area it could be lunch for your office sorted!
The supermarket has revealed this supersize sausage roll was created after listening to feedback from customers who said they wanted a larger version of the popular lunchtime food.
Speaking about the addition to the pastry line-up Morrisons' Pie and Pastry Expert, Philippa Shaw said, "We sell one million freshly baked sausage rolls-a-week but customers have asked for one that is even bigger. So we created this foot-long version."
She continued, "With the start of the football season approaching, we’re hoping our foot long sausage roll will be making its way to the top of the snack league table!"
Since the launch of the product earlier today (August 7th) people have already taken to social media to express their excitement.
