Following the success of the UK's first Greggs drive-thru in Greater Manchester, the bakery chain has decided it will open some more drive-thru shops across the UK.

According to the Chronicle Live website, just a month after the drive-thru opened at a service station in Irlam, Greggs has confirmed they will be opening more.

When the first Greggs drive-thru opened in June this year it became very popular, very quickly with some even taking to social media to vent their excitement.

It has been a successful month for the bakery chain which started 75 years ago in Newcastle delivery fresh eggs and yeast to families.

When talking about the drive-thru's success chief executive Roger Whiteside said, "We are very excited by it – it’s got off to a flying start. It’s been interesting and exciting to see how well customers have taken to it."

He went on to explain how they are "actively looking for more sites", however at present no locations have been confirmed as the popularity of sites is becoming more widespread with coffee shop chains looking into drive-thru locations.

The excitement surrounding the announcement of new drive-thru locations is already brimming with people taking to social media once more. One person even said it will be the first place they go to when they buy their first car!

The entire Greggs range is currently available at their drive-thru, including their infamous steak bake and sausage rolls.
