Baby boy fighting for his life in hospital following dog attack

A baby boy's fighting for his life after allegedly being attacked by a dog in the Scottish Borders.

Emergency services rushed to an address in Hawick after the alarm was raised around 4.35pm on Thursday April 11.

The boy, who's believed to be three-weeks-old, was then rushed to hospital, where police say he remains in a "critical" condition.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland told us: "The emergency services were called to an address in Hawick following the report of a baby having been attacked by a dog.

"A baby boy has been taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

"Officers remain in attendance and inquiries are ongoing."
