Fatal fire in Banffshire
A man has died following a house fire in Banffshire.
A man's been found dead by emergency service workers attending a blaze at a Whitehills home yesterday evening.
The 50-year-old was found by firefighters who put out the blaze at Redwell Cottages, Whitehills.
Emergency Services attended the scene around six thirty on Saturday night.
The man's family have been informed.
Detective Inspector Michael McKenzie said, "A joint investigation will be
carried out with the Fire Service to establish the cause of the fire but at this stage there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances.Â
"As with all sudden deaths a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
