2016 promises to be a corker of a year in film, with plenty of opportunities to munch on those cinema must have’s.

So get out your fresh diaries and pencil in these dates.

Dad’s Army

Yes, you are reading correctly.

Based on the BBC television sitcom Dad's Army, set in 1944 the loved T.V show has been adapted into a movie which is out in cinemas on February 5th.

We can’t wait to see Catherine Zeta-Jones in a starring role as a glamorous journalist and laugh out loud at our favourite war time heroes, the boys are back!

Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them

Created by Harry Potter author J.K Rowling, this is one of the most anticipated films of 2016.

Released in UK cinemas on November 18th, the film follows the adventures of writer Newt (Eddie Redmayne) in New York's secret community of witches and wizards, a whole 70 years before Harry Potter.

Kung Fu Panda 3

We are all suckers when it comes to Po the Panda! Jack Black is back as the voice of this loveable character, who we just ADORE. He’s reunited with his father and training up the village to fight the villain Kai.

Hitting screens on March 11th, this film is guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

Batman V Superman : Dawn Of Justice

I don’t think we can cope having to wait for this one!

This film introduces Ben Affleck as Batman and Henry Cavill as Superman - do you need ANY other reason to see this when it’s released on March 25th?

You do? Ok - well, as well as having two beautiful leading men, the story goes that Batman travels to Metropolis to combat Superman, fearing what would happen if Superman is left to his own devices.

Why can’t they just be friends? Well, we’ll just have to wait and see.

Zoolander 2

February 12th sees us back on the runway with Ben Stiller. This really is the most hilarious walk through the world of high fashion we can EVER imagine. We can’t wait to see if Derek save his career.

Captain America: Civil War

The leaders of the world come together in the newest release of Captain America, and they have a big decision to make; what to do with super powered humans. The film sees former alias; Captain America and Iron Man come to blows.

We can’t wait, but you have to wait until May 6th.

X-Men: Apocalypse

The geniuses at Marvel continue to release cinema smashes and 2016 is no different. The ninth instalment see’s the sequel to Days of Future Past and it looks even better! The X-Men team must unite to defeat the world’s first ever mutant.

We are promised the most amazing and adventurous visual effects to date when it hits cinemas on May 27th. Even the trailer left us breathless!

The BFG

Tugging at our heartstrings and back to primary school. Stephen Spielberg brings this classic tale back into our lives. This is the BEST news we have heard for a long time.

Released on July 1st, the trailer is simply magical!

Ghostbusters

‘Who you gonna call?’

This all new remake of the 1984 classic sees an all-female star cast including Melissa McCarthy and Kristen Wigg. Based in New York this 2016 re-vamp is something we are defiantly excited about when it hits screens on July 15th.

Finding Dory

It has been rumoured for years, but back in mid-2015 Disney Pixar announced what we all wanted to hear…. A Finding Nemo sequel, with our favourite character Dory taking the leading role!

Friends - The Movie

Ok, it’s not true - but we can dream right?! Oh well, we’ll just have to get out the box set again instead...
