Celtic have struck a deal to sign Legia Warsaw full-back Josip Juranovic - according to his coach Czeslaw Michniewicz.

The Croatian international is set to seal his move to Celtic Park in the coming days with the clubs agreeing a fee.

Hoops boss Ange Postecoglou has been desperate to add a right-back to his ranks since he arrived at the club.

Juranovic is in Legia's squad for their Europa League play-off first leg against Slavia Prague - but his manager is still unsure whether he will play.

Michniewicz said: "I am not so surprised as I am sorry and sad that Jura will probably leave us.

"I know the clubs have agreed on the transfer. I know he's still negotiating, his manager has his own terms.

"I had a preliminary talk with Jura at the airport. He's ready to play Thursday's game.

"But I didn't go there any further because I want to concentrate on the game.

"I'll talk to him today or tomorrow morning, then we'll make the final decision as to whether or not he will go against Slavia.

"11 months have passed since I started working for Legia - Josip is the 21st footballer who is leaving at that time is definitely a lot, but we have to accept it.

"We have to accept it and stop thinking about it.

"Many people from our staff, I am talking about players and coaches, congratulated him on the fact that he will have a chance to develop in another club.

"On the other hand, just like me, he also felt sorry that he would probably not be with us anymore.
