Inverness MP Drew Hendry is calling for a clear timeframe for the North’s multi-million pound City Deal.

Highland Council had applied for £300 million to allow them to fund the roll out free Wi-Fi across in the city, along with upgrades to Inverness Castle and Museum.

Locals had already been told the area would receive at least £3 million from its request, but there was no mention of a timeline in the Chancellor’s budget this week.

Mr Hendry says it is frustrating as many people were looking for answers from George Osborne:

A further announcement on the City Deal is expected to be made next week.
