New Police office at Inverness Town House

The facility hopes to tackle low-level crime and anti-social behaviour in the city centre

A new Police office has been established at Inverness Town House which, along with other agencies, will target problems within the centre of the Highland capital.

The office will primarily be used by Police from the Inverness Community Beats Unit - previously based within Burnett Road - and it'll allow improved communication with colleagues across other partner agencies who are either already in the Town House, or readily available nearby.

The Inverness Response Team (formed in September 2014) aims to tackle anti-social behaviour in the area - where some have received many call outs.

The Team is primarily made up of Police Scotland, Highland Council, and Scottish Fire & Rescue, who meet on a daily basis to discuss reports of disorder across the city.

Inverness Provost Helen Carmichael welcomed the visible presence of the Police within the heart of the city:-
