Family fleeing domestic abuse
3 young children and their mum had to leave their home to escape from domestic abuse.
This family had experienced harrowing and prolonged domestic abuse leaving 2 of the young children with long-term neurological disabilities.
They had no choice but to leave their home with next to no belongings so they could be placed into temporary housing in Inverurie. The children had virtually nothing with them and as it was winter, they had no decent clothes to keep them warm and comfortable.
In January 2017 Cash for Kids provided a clothing grant so the mum could buy some warm and cosy clothes for the children.
In this difficult situation Cash for Kids were able to make a difference to this family thanks to donations from our generous supporters. Often our grants cover the cost of basic but essential items to ensure children are safe, happy and healthy.
