TOWIE fans were left delighted earlier this month when it was revealed that the Queen of Essex, Gemma Collins, would be appearing on the brand new series of Dancing On Ice when the show returns in January. However, it looked like GC might not make it to the show!

According to reports over the weekend, DOI bosses are in fear that Gemma will QUIT the show before it begins in January, after she threw a 'diva tantrum' in training.

A source told the Daily Star, "Channel bigwigs and show producers are already worried Gemma will quit the show before viewers get to see her skate. She's already had one diva tantrum and threatened to quit after falling in training.

"Nobody took her threats seriously this time but with another two months before the show airs, everyone involved is worried the show's biggest star could walk."

HOWEVER, both Gemma and ITV have now hit back at these claims, with an ITV spokesperson saying, "There is absolutely no truth to this story. Gemma is loving being on the show and we love having her."

PHEWWWW! 🙈

Of course, if Gemma did end up quitting the show, it certainly wouldn't be the first time! The 37-year-old appeared on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here in 2014 and quit the jungle after just THREE DAYS, admitting she 'wasn't enjoying it'.

Dancing On Ice viewers will be hoping she doesn't quit the show as they will be keen to see Gemma's hilarious personality on screen. Since THAT fall last year, Gemma's popularity has soared, with many different TV shows keen to sign her up.

As well as her role in TOWIE, GC most recently appeared on cooking show, Celebrity Masterchef and she was also a popular contestant on Celebrity Big Brother back in 2017.

Meanwhile, Gemma was the first celebrity confirmed for the 2019 series of Dancing On Ice earlier this month, with the reality star telling Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, “I know how hard it is, I’ve done my research Phil. I am scared and I am nervous. I don’t know how they are going to lift me up."

Dancing On Ice returns to ITV in January 2019.
