The former Girls Aloud singer played the character Joni Preston who was meant to be a fiesty rival for Tracey Barlow.
However, the high profile casting didn't go to plan and fans and critics have been pretty unimpressed with her acting.
The singer apparently appeared to address the claims she'd been axed with the following tweet:
Sticking with her original talent, Harding released the video for her new solo single 'Threads.'
