Following the devastating fire which destroyed Grenfell Tower in London last week, are playing the Artists For Grenfell charity single which is released today (Wednesday 21st June).

Simon Cowell announced he would be working on a charity single the day after the terrible fire which claimed the lives of 79 people.

The charity single, which is a cover of Simon and Garfunkel's 'Bridge Over Troubled Water', dropped earlier today and features an all-star line-up including John Newman, Rita Ora, Dua Lipa, Ella Eyre, Liam Payne and many more.

John Newman retweeted Natalia // -44✨'s tweet below which a list of artists who are due to lend their voice to the single.

Since the tragic events of last week many of the artists who have taken part in the single have tweeted their support for those affected by the fire.

Rita Ora, who grew up in the area, also posted a photo on Instagram saying, 'I used to play in that block - I want to do all I can do to help.'

We caught up with Simon Cowell and asked him about the charity single, he said "it’s amazing how quickly they were able to get the song produced".

UPDATE: The music video has now been released and features scenes from the community affected by the fire along with the artists recording the single.
