Charli XCX has released a music video for her latest single ‘Famous’.

Released as part of this year’s YouTube Music Awards, the video sees Charli enjoying social media and taking lots of selfies before encountering the age-old problem of poor battery-life.

The ‘Boom Clap’ singer is then dragged into a parallel world of technology.

The video was directed by Eric Wareheim, who has also directed videos for acts such as Major Lazer, and is one half of comedy duo ‘Tim and Eric’.

The track ‘Famous’ is taken from Charli’s latest album ‘Sucker’ which was released earlier this year.

Meanwhile, Charli XCX will be touring the UK this April and May. Starting at Brighton’s Concorde 2 on 24th April, she will perform in Manchester, Oxford, Glasgow, London, Sheffield and Nottingham, before ending at Birmingham’s The Institute on 2nd May.
