Married At First Sight's Ben Jardine is a pretty appropriate contestant for this year's Celebrity Big Brother. The theme of the summer series, which started last Thursday (16th August), is the Eye of the Storm, and is focussing on celebrities who have been caught up in media scandals.

WELL. Ben may have only become slightly famous in the last 12 months, after getting hitched on Married At First Sight to policewoman Stephanie in September 2017 - but following his very public confession that he'd cheated on her and would be ending their marriage, AND the news that he's to become a dad with a mystery lady, he's made a name for himself... Of sorts.

Having dropped the bombshell that he's going to become a father at the end of the year before heading into the CBB house, Ben certainly fits the category of someone caught up in a media scandal.

But since he callously admitted he'd cheated on Steph AND wanted to split on a radio show without her prior knowledge, Steph has kept a dignified silence on the matter - until now.

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth

Singer Miley Cyrus split from actor Liam Hemsworth in August 2019, despite only getting married in December 2018.


Liam released a statement on Instagram, reading, ''Hi all. Just a quick note to say that Miley and I have recently separated and I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward.


'This is a private matter and I have not made, nor will I be making, any comments to any journalists or media outlets. Any reported quotes attributed to me are false. Peace and Love.'

According to the Mirror, Steph has opened up on her Instagram profile, revealing the truth in a series of videos that their marriage was real in her eyes, and detailing her reaction when she heard Ben making a joke of their marriage on the radio.

"I started to shake as I opened my phone and clicked on a link someone had sent," she explained. "There was my husband sitting there laughing and joking about how he had cheated on me and we were getting divorced."

Steph revealed that Ben called her later that night and tried to get out of what he'd said, "I asked why he had lied to me about the cheating, but he swore on his mother’s life to me that he had never even kissed another girl since the day we were matched.

"I told him I had listened to it and heard the words come out of his mouth that he had had a ‘kiss and a cuddle’ which is how he refers to sex. I asked how he could say that if it wasn’t true and he replied, ‘Well, it’s just what you say isn’t it’."

Even more hurtful for Steph is the fact that she and Ben had even spoken about starting a family together - something Ben is now doing with the other woman.

She said, "Ben even said to me that I would make an amazing mum and if he found out the next day that I was pregnant then he would be the happiest man alive.

"That memory really hurts me now, because I’ve been told by one of his friends since that the girl he got pregnant had conceived around this time."

She also revealed why she had chosen not to speak out until now, "After a while, anger set in and I just wanted to tell the world what really happened, but I knew that if I did, I would just be bolstering him, and he was already standing on my shoulders trying to reach for fame."

Poor Steph!
