Every week through the summer we’re featuring five local events, perfect to for the family.

DENNIS LAW LEGACY TRUST COMMUNITY FESTIVAL

The annual football festival has been a city highlight for years – and this year it’s bigger than ever – with free sessions available in a variety of sports and activities.

The festival takes place until Sunday with a packed timetable of events for the kids and they are all free.

DUFFTOWN HIGHLAND GAMES

The highland games circuit arrives in Dufftown this Saturday.

Everything you’d expect including the heavy and light events. The tug o war, highland dancing, and pipe bands plus stalls and bits for the kids.

TURRIFF SHOW

The annual show takes place this weekend and kicks off on Friday night with Greigsy headlining the Marquee with the Hits and Amadeus Anthems!

The main show days take place across Sunday and Monday with all the usual agricultural events and local food, drink, and crafts.

Highlights include the Stuntworld International team who will take to the ring for their motorcycle and quad stunt show plus don’t miss the vintage and classic vehicle show.

LADYBOYS OF BANGKOK

Time for a night out for the adults as the Ladyboys of Bangkok return to Aberdeen.

The Sabai Pavilion is open with shows until Saturday night.

It’s cabaret but not as you know it.

The Pavilion is at the Beach Links, next to the Beach Leisure park.

STEAM TRAIN RIDES

Enjoy a ride on a classic stream train this weekend at the Royal Deeside Railway. The summer timetable has steam trains running on Sundays.

Trains depart from the station at Milton of Crathes on the hour, every hour from 11 am until 4 pm.
