Every week through the summer we’re featuring five local events, perfect to for the family.
ECHT SHOW
The annual show takes place on Saturday at the show ground in Echt.
You’ll find something for everyone from the traditional cattle judging to highland dancing, dog shows, the ever-popular food fayre plus the vintage tractor show!
Plus enter your kids into the children’s races.

ADEN FANTASY FESTIVAL
Join the Northern Frights team at Aden Park on Sunday for a family suitable fantasy festival.
Take a bounce on a pirate ship, visit their storytellers, accept quests from interesting characters, browse the stalls, and more!
Sunday 9th July, 10am-4pm.

CIRCUS VEGAS
Circus Vegas has arrived in the UK for its first British tour in four years – and this week it arrives in Aberdeen!
The big top arrives in Aberdeen on Thursday, July 6th, and remains in the city until the 23rd. That makes this weekend the opening weekend!
Circus Vegas merges Las Vegas and Circus plus extreme stunts and classic clown escapades.

STONEHAVEN FOLK FESTIVAL
The annual festival – in its 33rd year – descends on Stonehaven this week with events taking place on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Expect some of the best traditional folk plus contemporary and new. Ceilidhs, workshops, and more.
Two highlights include their now traditional ‘Aqua Ceilidh’ which takes place at the town’s open-air heated pool. Plus the world ‘Paper n Comb’ championship!

ZIPPOS CIRCUS
Zippos traditional circus arrives in Peterhead this week! The Big Top opens at West Links on Thursday, July 6th with shows until the 10th.
The traveling tour for 2023 is called ‘Nomads’ which celebrates the circuses’ nomadic way of life and features performers from across the world, including Mongolia, Brazil, and Spain!
