52-year-old woman struck by car in Aberdeenshire fights for life

She was knocked over on the A93 Aberdeen-Banchory road

A woman's fighting for life after being hit by a car in Aberdeenshire last night

The 52-year-old was struck by a Renault Twingo on the Aberdeen-Banchory road near Milton of Crathes at 7.20pm. She was rushed to ARI where his injuries are said to be life-threatening

The road was closed for around five and a half hours to allow for an investigation at the scene. Police are appealing for witnesses.

Road Policing Sergeant Peter Henderson said: "Enquiries are ongoing into this tragic incident and our thoughts are with all those involved.

“Anyone who believes they may have seen the vehicle or pedestrian is asked to contact police on 101, quoting incident PS-2979 of 24 March.

“Similarly anyone who believes they may have dashcam footage relevant to the enquiry is asked to get in touch.”
