Ahead of the Holyrood election on May 6th, here at Northsound we've been speaking to all five candidates for the Aberdeen Central constituency.

We questioned them on local topics that matter to you.

First of all, here are the candidates:

- Barry Black, Scottish Labour

- Desmond Bouse, Scottish Liberal Democrats

- Guy Ingerson, Scottish Greens

- Douglas Lumsden, Scottish Conservatives and Unionists

- Kevin Stewart, Scottish National Party

CITY CENTRE RECOVERY:

First of all we asked the candidates about the city centre.

This was the topic most requested by our listeners, and also business owners in the city.

We asked all five what they'd do to help retail and hospitality companies in the granite city and to help revitalise the high street post-Covid:

NEW ABERDEEN FC STADIUM?:

It's been proposed by Aberdeen City Council that Aberdeen football club consider moving across Broad Hill to build a new stadium on the former Double Tree Hilton hotel site at the beach.

But would these candidates back the idea?

ENERGY TRANSITION:

The transition from Oil and gas massively impacts constituents in this area, but how would the candidates look to progress that over the next parliament?https://twitter.com/northsoundnews/status/1384035045392879622

PRIORITIES:

Our reporter Lewis Michie asked the candidates which issues they'd look to tackle on day one in parliament.

WHY SHOULD ABERDEEN CENTRAL VOTE FOR YOU?:

Finally, we asked each candidate to plead their case - 'Why should the constituents of Aberdeen Central vote for you?'
