Two charged after car crash and drugs find in Aberdeen

Two people have been charged following a car crash that led to a drugs find on Mid Stocket Road in Aberdeen.

The vehicle failed to stop for officers, before crashing.

Around £10,000 worth of cannabis was found in the vehicle after it crash at around 8.30PM on Sunday, 8 January.

A 17-year-old male youth was arrested at the time on the incident, before being released pending further investigation.

A 29-year-old man has since been arrested and charged in connection with the incident, and is expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Wednesday, 25 January, 2023.

The 17-year-old youth has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal.

Detective Constable Rob Graham, from Aberdeen CID, said: "Drug misuse brings nothing but misery to our communities.

"I want to reassure people across the North East that Police Scotland will use every tool and tactic at our disposal to remove these illegal substances from our streets."
