Aberdeen have failed with their appeal over Ross McCrorie's red card in Wednesday's defeat by St Mirren.

The Dons had felt their defender was unjustly sent off by referee Grant Irvine - following a VAR review - after catching opponent Charles Dunne in the face with his elbow early on at Pittodrie.

McCrorie will now serve an immediate two match ban so is suspended for Saturday's home game against Motherwell and the visit to face Celtic on February 18th.
