Firefighters rescue four people from a blaze in the west end of Aberdeen

Residents have been rescued from a flat blaze in Aberdeen.

A total of 26 firefighters, with four fire engines and a height vehicle,

tackled the fire at Blenheim Place in the city's Queen Cross area.

Four people were rescued at around 6.50pm on Sunday and one was treated by paramedics for smoke inhalation before being taken to hospital.

The others - a woman and two children - were sent to ARI as a precaution.

A spokeswoman from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: The fire was in a three floor terraced dwelling on the ground floor.

Fire fighters used breathing apparatus and three hose reel jets.'' The fire was put out by 7.30pm.
