Two men have been arrested and charged after police found drugs with a street value of about £8,000 in Allenvale Cemetery.

An intelligence-led operation was carried out on Monday, 17 October, where, with the assistance of the dog branch, the Class A drugs were successfully located.

The men, aged 18 and 22, are expected to appear in Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 18 October.

Detective Constable Kevin Lynch said: "This operation demonstrates our continued commitment to rid our communities of drugs.

"We know the harm and misery they bring to families and we will do everything we can to ensure they are not making it onto our streets.

"With the continued co-operation and support from the public, we will achieve our aim."
