Aberdeen City Council is set to debate what comes next for the former BHS building on Union Street and indoor market that lays behind it.

New concept pictures show what is being proposed for the sites - and these ideas will be discussed in the Council's growth and resource committee next Tuesday,

It is suggested the Council purchase both buildings, redeveloping the BHS site but demolishing the market - to make way for a new build that would be conjoined.

The development would contain "Continued retail use at Union Street level and a mix of retail, food and drink and leisure use at Hadden Street level."

Also mentioned in the report is "Removal of vehicular traffic from the section of Union Street between Bridge Street and the Castlegate"

Potential costs of this project are not yet released - but the report does outline the chance of applying for several grants.
