Three Scots in men's 1500m Commonwealth Games final
Scotland will have three athletes in the final of the men's 1500m at the Commonwealth Games.
World champion Jake Wightman, from Edinburgh, won his heat at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham in 3:48.34, closely followed by Glasgow's Neil Gourley, who finished in fourth, in 3:48.64.
Edinburgh's Josh Kerr also qualified from the other heat, finishing fourth, in 3:37.84.
They will go head-to-head in the final on Saturday afternoon.
It comes after an incredible day on the track for Team Scotland, when Eilish McColgan won her first major title in the 10,000m.
Speaking to Northsound 1 after the race, her mum Liz, who triumphed in the same event in Edinburgh in 1986, and again in 1990, said: "I don't think proud is a good enough word to describe everyone's feelings.
"It's really really good just to see Eilish fulfil her potential.

"We've known for a while that she's capable of running races like that.
"It was just one of those once-in-a-lifetime moments when the stars aligned and she ran amazingly well.
"Just to be there and share that with her was utterly fantastic."
