Isn't it bromantic?

Published 2nd Feb 2016

The word 'bromance' is becoming a common way to describe a close friendship between two men. If you want to know how to spot a bromance then simply take a look at our on-screen favourites.

1. Bubba and Forrest – Forrest Gump

There are good pals and then there are those that would carry you through a war zone, Bubba and Forrest take friendship to a new level.

2. Raj and Howard – The Big Bang Theory

This scene is a perfect example of how close these two are, some would say too close...

3. Turk and JD - Scrubs

This song pretty much says everything there is to say about Turk and JD's unconditional love for one another, they're completely inseparable!

4. Harry and Ron – Harry Potter

Nothing says bromance like wearing matching Gryffindor scarves, plus once you fight Voldemort together you're pretty much friends for life...

5. Joey and Chandler - Friends

Friendship between men has always been a thing, but we're pretty sure Joey and Chandler invented the bromance.

6. Harry and Lloyd – Dumb and Dumber

Harry and Lloyd's friendship is based upon a mutual love for stupidity, even if they aren't aware of that...

7. Marshall and Ted – How I Met Your Mother

Marshall and Ted have been best friends since university, it's given them plenty of time to master this Proclaimers duet.

8. Shrek and Donkey

You know it's true bromance when they argue like a married couple but then quickly make up and fly a dragon together, the latter may only apply to fictional bromance...

9. Bronn and Tyrion - Game of Thrones

Bronn stepped up and defended Tyrion's honour in a trial by combat, has your friend ever done that for you?

10. Andy and Red - The Shawshank Redemption

Technically these two lived together for nearly 20 years and still came out as best friends at the other end, if you pass that test it's meant to be.
