Police investigation launched into 'wilful' fire at Aberdeen flats

An investigation has been launched into a 'wilful' fire at a set of flats in Aberdeen.

Emergency services were called to Hazlehead Gardens around 3.40pm on Sunday before fire fighters put the blaze out.

No one was injured in the incident but officers believe it was a deliberate act.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said:

“We were called around 3.40pm on Sunday, 16 January, to a report of a fire in Hazlehead Gardens, Aberdeen.

"The fire was put out by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and no one was injured. The incident is being treated as wilful and enquires are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
