Huge investment urged at oil summit

Top politicians are meeting with industry leaders at the Aberdeen oil summit. Scottish Secretary Alistair Carmichael and First Minister Nicola Sturgeon are among those taking part in the event at the AECC.

Support appears to be growing for a £2 billion investment in Aberdeen, as the city faces tough times with the falling price of oil. It's one of the big issues being discussed at the oil summit today at the AECC. We've already seen hundreds of jobs cut in the sector, and it's feared there could be more to come.

Unite the Union have also hit out at the industry, saying the way job cuts have been handled is "unacceptable"
