Investigation launched following sexual assault in Aberdeen

Police are appealing for information following a serious sexual assault in the Torry area of Aberdeen in the early hours of Saturday 30 July.

The incident took place in the Walker Road/ Grampian Lane area of Torry between 3AM and 4AM.

Police are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have seen a light coloured estate type vehicle which was in the area at that time.

Detective Inspector Stuart McAdam said: "I would appeal for anyone who may have been in the area at that time and saw anything that they think may have been suspicious or saw a similar vehicle in the Torry area of Aberdeen in the early hours of Saturday morning to contact Police as a priority. We are at the early stages of our enquiries, however I would urge anyone with information about this incident to get in touch on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111."
