Aberdeen Police have been nominated for a national policing award for their work against legal highs.

They are being recognised in the 'greatest contribution to policing priorities' category at the Scottish Policing Execellence Awards.

They will find out if they have won on Friday.

The nomination comes after they managed to close down 'Harminasion' a legal highs shop on George Street last May - through an anti-social behaviour order. That's the first time that had been used in Scotland.

Jason Carrigan is from the Police's Community Safety Partnership Hub. He is one of the key figures who led the move.
