Pilots Union Balpa To Host Jobs Meeting In Aberdeen

Pilots union Balpa is hosting a meeting in Aberdeen to talk to helicopter firm members on the current situation on redundancies in the industry.

Last week CHC announced that 50 positions of the firm are at risk due to "challenging conditions" in the North Sea.

It comes after Bristow Helicopters announced last month that they would be cutting 130 of its 1,950 UK staff.

Balpa's General Secretary Jim McAuslan announced this week that he will be standing down after nearly 14 years in the job.
