Jack and Emily have been listed as Scotland's top baby names for 2015.

According to new figures from National Records of Scotland, Jack was the most popular boy's for the eighth year in a row, while Emily topped the girl's list for a second year.

The other names making up the top 5 boy names were Oliver, James, Lewis and Alexander, while for the girls it was Sophie, Olivia, Isla and Ava.

But what about the more unique names on the list?

One boy called Kingsley was born, perhaps taking inspiration from Partick Thistle's controversial new mascot.

The popularity of Game of Thrones seemed to inspire other parents, with two girls given the name Khaleesi.

Bieber fever may have hit the music charts last year, but it didn't run in to our naming habits - just 13 boys were born with the name Justin.

In recent years the popularity of the film Frozen had influenced our naming habits, but in 2015 it seems people have started to "let it go".

223 girls called Anna were born but just 10 were named Elsa.

2015 was an election year and also brought with it a change in leader for both the UK and Scottish Labour parties.

It also brought us one boy with called Corbyn but perhaps surprisingly no girl was born with the name Kezia - although there was a Keziah.

Five children - a mix of boys and girls - were born with the name Indy, but whether that was influenced by the independence debate or Indiana Jones is anyone's guess.

Other unique names include Wolf, Littlest, Fox and Thor.
