Seven arrests over Aberdeen lorry thefts

Six men and a woman have been arrested after two HGVs were stolen and later found burnt out

Six men aged betwen 21 and 31, and a 40-year-old woman have been charged in connection with the theft of two lorries from West Tullos Industrial Estate in Aberdeen.

They were later found burnt out near Huntly.

The accused - who are from Aberdeen, Elgin and Falkirk - are expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today.

Investigating officers would like to thank the members of the public who contacted police with information, and the media for its assistance.

Enquiries into the case are ongoing, and officers are still keen to speak to anyone who has any information about the incident, in particular a silver Renault Megane motor car discovered burnt out in the Hazlehead area of Aberdeen on Monday afternoon.
