Susan Boyle is set to perform at unique North-east Fundraiser this December.

The Britain’s Got Talent and global star is set to perform at Udny Green as hundreds come together for a unique and special event to raise money for North-east charity Friends of Anchor.

500 fundraisers will come together as one, forming a ‘Human Anchor of Light’ on the village green after a special service at the village church featuring Susan Boyle.

Kilted Chef, Craig Wilson, proprietor of Eat on the Green has today, launched a call for people across the North-east to register to take part in the candle light vigil which not just aims to raise thousands for charity but will pay tribute to family or friends who have been affected by cancer

“The event will include a ‘service of hope’ at Udny Green church, where global star and Scotland’s very own, Susan Boyle will perform a medley of songs. Scottish singer, actress and broadcaster, Fiona Kennedy will also take to the stage to sing. Following the service, light-bearers will join together on the village green to create a ‘human anchor of light." - Craig Wilson

The event will take place on December the 3rd and aims to raise a whopping £50,000 in recognition of the local charity’s 20th anniversary year and its ‘Dream Big’ campaign.

Friends of ANCHOR’s ‘Dream Big’ appeal forms part of the University of Aberdeen’s £4.5m campaign to recruit a world-class cancer research team to the North-east. A major investment that will ultimately see clinical care excelled for cancer patients in the region.
